Charlottesville is a town rich in political history. Not far from the city, visitors can tour the homes of past presidents Thomas Jefferson, Woodrow Wilson and James Madison. This shopping center is at the heart of downtown Charlottesville and offers an eclectic mix of specialty shops and restaurants on a brick walk-way amid old brick buildings. You will regularly hear live music on the Mall at the Sprint Pavilion outdoor amphitheater or the Mall's many smaller venues and restaurants.  The iconic Paramount Theater offers a variety of performances from comedic to theatric, musical to movies and is definitely a destination spot on the Mall.  After shopping and listening to live entertainment, visitors can take an inexpensive trolley to tour the Rotunda at U.Va. or shop at "The Corner."
